On any given day, I am a husband and father of five. I read obsessively and, occasionally, I write stories of varying length, quality, and metrical structure. As often as possible, I enjoy sitting down to the table for a game with friends and family. I’m happy to trumpet Everdell, in all its charm and glory, as the insurmountable favorite of my collection.

Of course, I was late to the party and the digital version had long since dropped by the time I had my insight. With all the lifting, placing, removing, reorganizing, sliding, swapping, face-up and face-down, I suppose something had to be done.

The world’s hardest game
I know this one might sound too simple, but it is really important in World’s Hardest Game. There are some games out there that you can fly through without much struggle. World’s Hardest Game is not one of those games. It is very easy to find yourself stuck on a level, but you should not give up! If you find yourself stuck, try to have some fun and fight off the frustration.
Some may be surprised to see Sekiro not included in games listed in the number three spot. The truth is, while Sekiro is also a FromSoftware release, it’s not a ‘Souls’ game. While it shares many similarities with Dark Souls, Elden Ring, etc, this is a hard-as-nails single-player-only adventure. In a Souls game, you can summon allies to help you take down a difficult boss, essentially letting them share the load. However, in Sekiro, players either “git good” or they die trying – many times.
Some levels feature spaces outside the blue balls that let you pause for a breather. There aren’t many opportunities like this, but they can help you collect your thoughts. Some levels also feature checkpoints where you can save your progress.

For the second time in five seasons and the first time in a full season since 1988, the Los Angeles Dodgers are World Series champions. It took a supremely ugly Game 5 to get them there. They will take it with a swig of Champagne.
